Star Wars EZD6?
Welcome back to another post!
In this post, I'm excited to share my preparations for an EZD6 Star Wars OneShot. Yes, you read it right—Star Wars! But before you get too carried away, a quick disclaimer: this isn't an official rule or setting due to IP protections. The mighty mouse (Disney) might unleash its pack of lawyers if anyone dares to profit from playing in their sandbox or using anything related to their property. However, creative minds can still craft content for others to enjoy online or even in print. Today, I'll be exploring Star Wars EZD6 and running this game at the Agranak Cult Discord on Sunday morning this week!

Curious about Star Wars EZD6? It offers a deep dive into character creation for this setting, covering aspects such as Hero Path, Species, Inclination, Equipment, and Force Die rules. Although it lacks rules for enemies and vehicles/ships, the EZD6 mechanics still provide a workable foundation, calling on the Rabble Rouser (that's you!) to use their GM cap and come up with solutions.
In a Galaxy, Far, Far Away...
Creating Pushers and Shovers
The Star Wars EZD6 file kicks off with the chapter on Hero Paths. Players can choose from 10 different paths, and the Star Wars universe offers 8 distinct species, each with its own benefits and inclinations. The character creation process involves selecting equipment through a couple of rolls, paving the way for an exciting journey in the Star Wars universe.
Hero Path Example: Smuggler
Though they spend most of their lives struggling to avoid Imperial entanglements, keeping their ships flying, dodging blaster fire, and having enough to eat, Smugglers are often seen as the freest beings in the galaxy.
- Health: 3 Strikes
- Defense: 5+ (Miraculous save on 6)
- Boons: Underworld & Negotiation
Hero Path Features:
- Smooth-talker: Re-roll 1s rolled for Negotiation checks.
- I Know a Guy: At the cost of Karma, establish a history with a local contact for aid, materials, or information. The outcome is determined by a dice roll, providing a dynamic interaction with the contact.
This example is user-friendly, allowing players to easily grasp the path and incorporate their Star Wars species with additional benefits or abilities. As a human, I've chosen to add the third inclination: Marksman. This inclination provides my character with a boon in ranged weapons. Photographer: InspiredImages
After picking your Aspect, the player progresses to the equipment generator, featuring common gear and specialty gear. By rolling dice, the Pusher and Shover can acquire up to 10 items.
The Game has dice Force both light and dark side.
A character trained in the Force will get 12 force dice and those who are Force sensitive they start with 4 force dice. These die can be used as a temporary boon.
Running a Star Wars OneShot with the EZD6 system offers a unique blend of narrative freedom and strategic gameplay. As a Rabble Rouser, embrace the flexibility of the system, allowing the Force to guide your storytelling. May the dice be with you, and may the Force be ever in your favor!
Stay tuned for post-playtest updates and additional insights as the Star Wars EZD6 OneShot unfolds!
